Information You Send
Search entries
A name entered into a search widget is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Murray County Busted Mugshots does not itself keep or log those search terms on its own page system, but the provider may handle them under its own terms and notice.
Messages and requests
If a visitor sends a message or submits a contact request, the message and the contact details supplied with it may be retained so a reply can be made. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to provide the requested response.
Technical Data and Cookies
Normal page delivery can produce technical information about the visit. Depending on the hosting, analytics, and advertising configuration in use, this can include:
- IP address or a related network identifier
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring page, when one is supplied
- Visit timestamps
Cookie controls
Cookies or similar storage may help measure page use, remember a setting, or support advertising and partner tools. A browser can block or delete cookies. Some features may work differently when they are blocked.
How Information Is Used
- Keep the pages available and improve delivery speed.
- Send search activity to the partner service selected for that tool.
- Understand which pages and explanations are useful.
- Find, diagnose, and repair technical problems.
- Display advertising that may be relevant to a visitor's interests.
Outside Websites and Partners
Pages link to sheriff and police resources, jail information, court portals, corrections locators, federal services, local news, and third-party search tools. The destination's own privacy notice controls after a visitor follows a link. Murray County Busted Mugshots does not control those services' data practices, retention, security, or availability.
Examples of official destinations used for Murray County records include the Murray County Sheriff's Office, the Chatsworth Municipal Court, and the Georgia Department of Corrections offender search. Each destination sets its own rules once a visitor leaves these pages.
Some advertising partners may recognize activity across different sites for interest-based advertising. That processing occurs on the partners' systems, not as a promise that this reference can see or control every partner event.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold as a standalone list. It may be processed by the following categories when needed for the functions described above or when law requires:
- Search partners that handle a submitted query.
- Analytics providers measuring page use.
- Advertising networks and their service providers.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order or other lawful demand.
Security Is a Best Effort
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for information under the service's control. No internet-connected system is fully secure, however, and no promise can be made that data will never be intercepted, altered, lost, or exposed.
Visitors Under Eighteen
These pages are intended for adults and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent personal data, a parent or guardian may use the Contact Us page to ask that the submission be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, a visitor may ask about personal data handled by this service. Requests may include:
- A copy of data held about the requester.
- Correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion of information that the service is not required to keep.
- Opting out of certain processing where that option applies.
Use the contact route with enough detail to identify the request. A partner, government office, analytics provider, or advertising network may need to receive a separate request under its own policy.
Notice Changes
This notice may be revised when the service, partners, or legal requirements change. The revised wording becomes effective when posted on these pages. Visitors should review the notice from time to time if privacy practices matter to their use.
