Contact Us

Contact the government office that created or holds the record. Murray County Busted Mugshots is a private reference, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, pull an official booking record, or answer for a sheriff, police department, court, or corrections agency. The contacts below separate current jail questions, city incident reports, court dispositions, and later state or federal custody.

Choose the Office That Holds It

A current custody question belongs with the jail. A city incident report belongs with the police department that handled the event. A disposition belongs with the correct court. State, federal, and immigration locators cover only their own custody populations.

Private reference disclosure. This service has no government affiliation. It cannot confirm whether anyone is in custody, arrange release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record or photo. Contact the originating office directly.

Murray County Sheriff and Jail

Sheriff's Office

810 1/2 G.I. Maddox Parkway
Chatsworth, GA 30705-1129

Main: (706) 695-4592

Jail and Records Section

Use the county jail and Records line for current arrest status, booked charges, bail, expected release type, or a focused request for an existing booking record or photograph.

(706) 695-4593

The county's official arrest-information FAQ is the source for this phone-led route.

Ask for the precise record needed. A booking report, release entry, bond information, and photograph may be separate records. No local booking-photo fee or completion estimate was published in the reviewed sources. Request an estimate before a large search or copy charge.

City Police Departments

Chatsworth Police Department

501 North Third Avenue
Chatsworth, GA 30705

(706) 695-9667, option 1

No usable daily arrest bulletin or booking feed was located. Request a city incident or arrest report from the department, then request county jail intake records separately.

Eton Police Department

3464 U.S. Highway 411 North
P.O. Box 407
Eton, GA 30724

(706) 695-2652, option 2

Published office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. BuyCrash is an accident-report service, not an arrest search.

Use the police department for the incident report or a city-held record. Use Murray County Jail and Sheriff Records for county detention intake, bond, release, or a jail-held photograph. A city name in a story does not identify the arresting agency by itself.

Where to Look for a Record

These routes match the question being asked. The county booking and records page explains the full search chain and custody distinctions.

  • For a person who may have just been booked or remains in county custody, call Murray County Jail at (706) 695-4593.
  • For a booking record or photo after release, ask Sheriff Records about a written Open Records Act request naming the person, date, agency, and exact items sought.
  • For a Chatsworth or Eton incident report, contact the relevant city police department and request the county intake record separately.
  • For a court outcome, use the Georgia Courts eAccess directory, then contact the appropriate clerk. Murray Clerk of Court is (706) 695-2932; clerksoffice@murraycountyga.gov is listed for information or copies.
  • For a Chatsworth Municipal Court disposition, contact Clerk Rhonda England at (706) 422-3004. The published charges are $10 certified and $1 noncertified.
  • For sentenced Georgia state custody, use the GDC offender search; inmate questions are directed to (404) 656-4661.
  • For federal or qualifying immigration detention, use the BOP or ICE locator, not the county jail line as a substitute.

Open Records Request Notes

Georgia's Attorney General explains that an Open Records Act request may be oral or written, although writing creates a clearer trail. Under O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 et seq., an agency generally responds within three business days with records, a production date, an estimate, or the exemption for withheld material. That is an initial response rule, not a guaranteed completion date.

Ask for existing records rather than explanations. Identify the person, approximate booking date, arresting agency, and each requested item. For a photograph, include the compliance affirmation required by O.C.G.A. § 35-1-19(d). Request electronic copies when practical and ask for reasonably segregable material if a portion is withheld.
